GEENA & RUFUS are an internationally active songwriter and artist couple from Italy, renowned for their evocative blend of Americana folk and socially conscious storytelling. Writing, recording, producing, and promoting their work independently, GEENA & RUFUS embody artistic authenticity and creative self-determination. Geena began her musical journey at an early age, drawing inspiration from iconic folk traditions and deeply personal experiences that continue to shape her songwriting. Her expressive, powerful voice carries emotional depth and sincerity, inviting listeners into intimate narratives of resilience, freedom, and human connection.

Rufus, a versatile multi-instrumentalist and skilled producer, complements Geena’s artistry with his innovative sonic vision. An autodidact with a broad and diverse musical background, he brings texture, atmosphere, and dynamic arrangements to their work. Together, their collaborative synergy results in a signature sound defined by warm harmonies, organic instrumentation, and thoughtful production.

A recurring theme throughout their music is their guiding mantra: “Be free in your choice of life.” This credo underpins their artistic philosophy and resonates strongly in their performances and recordings alike.

Their debut album, White Mice (2021), introduced their distinctive fusion of Americana folk and reflective songwriting. The record marked an impressive breakthrough, topping the Colorado State FM Radio charts for six consecutive weeks in October 2021. Building on that success, Echoes from the Fields (2023) showcased their artistic growth, offering a deeper exploration of Americana influences with introspective lyrics and captivating melodies.

In 2025, they released their latest album, Tea for Two, further refining their sound and lyrical vision. Looking ahead, the duo is currently working on their forthcoming album, Sinner’s Saints & Valentines, scheduled for release in late 2026.
